🔧 Role Overview
As our Dashboard Engineer, you will build, improve, and make dashboards work really well inside the TimeMaster system.
You will work closely with our technical leads, product team, and support engineers to make sure clients can see everything instantly — like attendance, exceptions, overtime, compliance alerts, and payroll-ready data.
For this job, we need someone who loves details, thinks carefully, and is excited to make dashboards clean, accurate, and fast. Everything you create should help clients understand their data easily and quickly.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- First, build and keep dashboards working in real time on the TimeMaster cloud platform.
- Next, bring in data from fingerprint devices, mobile apps, GPS, work schedules, and payroll systems.
- Then, create visuals that are easy to understand for attendance, exceptions, overtime, shift rules, and productivity.
- Also, make sure dashboards are fast, correct, and can handle many workers at lots of locations.
- After that, work with the engineering team on APIs, webhooks, data setups, and event triggers.
- In addition, help support teams fix any data mistakes or missing reports.
- Moreover, use modern UX/UI standards so dashboards are simple and clear for everyone.
- Furthermore, keep everything trackable and compliant for audits and rules.
- Finally, improve dashboard reports for Paymaster, Sage, PaySpace, and all other connected payroll systems.
🎓 Requirements
Must-Have:
- First, strong experience with dashboard tools like Power BI, Grafana, Metabase, Looker, or similar is required.
- Next, a good understanding of SQL and how data is organised is very important.
- Also, experience connecting and working with APIs is needed.
- In addition, excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.
- Furthermore, you must be able to follow project plans, complete tasks on time, and keep everyone updated.
- Moreover, you should confidently speak with new clients and share your knowledge clearly.
- Besides that, you must be able to work well both in a team and alone.
- Finally, you need to handle a fast-moving environment with many clients and deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- First, you need experience with Time & Attendance, Workforce Management, or Payroll systems.
- Next, you should understand how biometric data works and is stored.
- Then, know how front-end scanners connect to the back-end reports.
- Also, be able to make work schedules and plan shifts for employees.
- After that, you should be able to teach others how to use the dashboard.
- Finally, have experience with workforce compliance reporting to make sure all the rules are followed.
